An Update on TweakMyDevice

My fellow Tweakers…

Well it’s been a while since we’ve posted anything here on the blog. We haven’t produced any YouTube videos in quite a while. You’re probably wondering “what’s the dealio TweakMan???”

TweakMyDevice is still alive and kicking! We’re growing and evolving to meet the needs of our clients. Due to some financial and time constraints we’ve had to re-think our business model to change the way we deliver content to our online followers and local clients.

What’s TweakMan Been Doing?

So far 2012 has been a very busy year for me. After filing taxes I immediately had ideas on how to spend the refund…ALL of it. Vehicle and home upgrades were first on the list. With the help of one friend I built 2 new decks onto our house…

I’ve also spent some time relaxing to rethink the new approach of TweakMyDevice. A few backpacking and mountain biking trips help to center one’s focus…

No More YouTube Tutorials?

We’ve really enjoyed making YouTube video tutorials, but have had to back off from that area of content production. Creating video tutorials for every new tweak, hack, app, or ROM that’s released requires an enormous amount of time. Unfortunately this was consuming 85% of my time while only offering a 5% financial return. You just can’t sustain a business that way. We will still produce YouTube tutorials occasionally for BIG updates and tweaks, but not for incremental ROM or app updates. We DO plan to utilize YouTube to host future videos for a different reason…

So What New Stuff is Coming?

We’re shifting the majority of our content delivery and client interaction to in-person situations.

Tech Table

Asheville Tech Table

We’ve obtained permits for setting up a pushcart in the heart of downtown Asheville, NC! The Asheville Tech Table will be located on Page Avenue next to the Grove Arcade. We’ll be serving the public on the spot performing Jailbreaks, Roots, Unlocks, and many other software tweaks.

TweakMyDevice Classes

TweakMyDevice Classes

We’ve secured several public locations to use for teaching mobile device classes! These classes will cover everything from using basic built-in mobile device software, to installing advanced tweaks like custom ROMs and kernels. Tweak classes will be video recorded and offered as a live stream to our Facebook page, and to our YouTube channel.

Remote Tweaking

Remote Tweaks

Don’t live in Asheville? No problem, we can solve your mobile device problems using Skype and LogMeIn over the web. We’ve helped clients all over the world without ever meeting them face to face.

In Conclusion…

TweakMyDevice is still growing and adding to our services. We serve clients on a daily basis and will continue doing so. We are a dynamic company that adjusts to the needs of the market, so the above outlined changes aren’t set in stone. As we grow we plan to hire a new employee to do JUST YouTube video tutorials for populating our site with the newest tweaks. For now our online content production will mainly be channeled through Twitter, so make sure you follow us! As always Contact Us for one-on-one assistance.
