    1. Sign in to Google to setup your Voice account. Click Here to sign in.

    Select a new GVoice number or use your existing mobile number. We selected a new GVoice number with our local area code. This allows us a separate business line on our phone.

    Enter your location code to search local available numbers.

    Select an available number you like.

    Create and enter a 4-digit voicemail pin.

    Add a forwarding phone number. You can enter your current mobile phone number from your carrier.

    Have Google send an automated call to your phone and enter the 2-digit verification code.

    8. On your device search the Play Store for Google Voice and install.

    9. Open the app and proceed through setup. Select the Google account you wish to associate with the GVoice app on your device. Typically you’ll use the Google account already activated on your device.

    10. Allow Google Voice access to your Google account.

    11. Choose if you want to make calls from your carrier number, or new Google Voice number.

    12. Skip voicemail setup for now.

    13. Enjoy your new SMS-style inbox!

    14. Tap Menu, Settings to explore a few options and see your new Google Voice number in case you forget it.
